Academic Calendar

Hosted by the Registrar's Office, this calendar provides an official listing of all important dates during the current academic semester, including application and academic deadlines, holidays, and special events.

The spring and fall semesters will include the traditional 16-week term (Session 1) and two new eight-week sessions. Session F is the first eight weeks, and Session G is the second eight weeks.

New first-year students may only start in the Summer B term, which is a six-week term typically beginning in late June and concluding in early August.

The 4 year graduation rate for UCF students stands at 45-65%. The 6 year graduation rate is 75%. In comparison, UF's 4 year graduation rate stands at 75-88%.

Yes. All freshmen must submit an official SAT [code: 5233], ACT [code: 0735] or CLT score — they must be reported directly to the university electronically or via U.S. mail.

Length of Classes: Some online universities offer 6- to 8-week terms for classes. Others, such as UCF, follow typical 16-week semesters and 6-, 8- and 12-week summer-session offerings. As a guideline, each credit hour of class requires 3 credit hours of work outside of class time.

Based on the number of graduates registered to participate in the ceremony, each graduate will receive four (4) tickets electronically on Monday, October 25 to their Knights' email address. No additional tickets will be released after original allotment is emailed.

Ceremony Information for Grads

UCF's commencement ceremonies will start at 9 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. Please arrive at the Addition Financial Arena 90 minutes prior to your commencement ceremony.

Official regalia is not required. You may order official UCF embroidered regalia through the Herff Jones website, purchase any black graduation gown, or opt to wear professional attire with your cap, tassel, honor cords and/or stole.

Graduation is the completion of all degree requirements as recorded on the official transcript. Commencement is the ceremony that celebrates the completion of a degree.
